FORMER BOB MARLEY MANAGER DON TAYLOR DIES Category: Local News Date: 02 Nov 1999 Time: 07:17:37 PM -0500 Comments Don Taylor, the man who managed reggae king Bob Marley's career throughout the 1970s and who later wrote a tell-all book about his association with the music legend, died in a Miami hospital Monday. Mr. Taylor, who had heart surgery last week, had also worked with several other reggae performers including Gregory Isaacs, Yami Bolo and the group, Third World. Mr. Taylor's book, Marley and Me, details several incidents including the 1976 assassination attempt on Bob Marley's life in Kingston, during which he (Taylor) was also shot.
