Boom Tali Posse--Known as "Seattle's dub force" is one of the hardest working bands in the Pacific Northwest. Led by Phil "Boom" Duncan and Naphtali Rashid "Tali" Boom Tali has been playing to satisfied audiences in Canada and the U.S. for several years. (Reggae on the Island, Ladysmith, Canada, 1993). The Powerhouse reggae group Boom Tali Posse has been stirring up dance floors throughout the Pacific Northwest . . . released its first Compact Disc under a new recording contract with Cord International Records, Ventura, California (Bumbershoot Festival, 1993, Seattle, WA). The best modern bands, or at least the more ambitious ones, encompass the whole style, throw in some influences from outside the reggae genre and then stab it repeatedly with some original instrumentals. Boom Tali Posse, a local six piece outfit, is quite proficient at this a their album deftly proves (Elliott Meacham, Seattle Catalyst, March 1993). Boom Tali Posse has opened shows for some of the reggae giants in music industry. To name a few, Dennis Brown, Steel Pulse, Culture, Burning Spear, Joe Higgs, Judy Mowatt, Boom Tali Posse is a great stage show and gaining international recognition. "There are a lot of good reggae and ska bands, but how many recent groups have you heard that can really play rock steady? Boom Tali Posse has an engaging ambiance, a brimming songbag, and the skill to deliver it." (The Beat, Chuck Foster, 1994). Interested parties can purchase CD's at Tower Records.
